Interlocking #1
At Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, we excavated a large area, leveled it, installed HPB, added landscape fabric, and laid large 24 x 30 patio stones. This area is fenced off and private. It was built to be used as a drone landing pad and was one of the first test sites for a medical drone landing area.
Interlocking #2
This driveway was built with older stones at the entrance to an underground parking area. Constant vehicle traffic caused the stones to sink. The concrete base broke, and the metal rail above the drain rusted and collapsed. We removed all of the stones, regraded the ground, rebuilt the wall, fabricated a new metal cover for the drain, and replaced the entire driveway with new stones. The water now drains properly into the drain, the wall is solid, and the new metal cover should last longer.
Retaining Wall #3
This retaining wall was built for a wedding reception space and will also serve as a new focal point at the front entrance of the house.
Retaining Wall #4
This wall was built to improve curb appeal. The garden was plain, and the client wanted a small wall that would improve the overall look without taking attention away from the plants. We decided on a wall lining the garden, using stones that matched the front exterior and driveway. The wall was built three courses above ground, which was just enough to create a balanced look between the wall and the smaller plants within the garden.
