Tuckpointing #1
We power-washed the entire wall, completed some brick replacement, and removed all of the joints on the front and along the right-side return for about 15 feet. The mortar was tinted with a small amount of ochre to match the existing colour. This was an excellent restoration project.
Tuckpointing #2
This house was being prepared for sale. We removed all of the damaged bricks on the front of the house and all of the pillars. We also removed all of the joints on the entire front elevation and the pillars. We then created a custom colour mix to match the red brick, using Federal White mortar and dark ochre. Once completed, the new bricks and freshly tuckpointed joints gave the house a clean, renewed appearance and should provide long-lasting performance before further repair is needed.

This was a flagstone porch and landing surrounded by a large number of trees, and the stones were in very poor condition. We power-washed the surface, removed all of the joints, reset some of the stones on the walkway and steps, replaced all of the joints, and then sealed everything with a gloss-finish colour enhancer. This brings out the original colours in the stone while also protecting both the stones and the freshly pointed joints. It should last a long time, provided it is washed and resealed every few years to extend the life of the stone and joints.
